The Hollyhock flower has for years often been used as a symbol of fertility. It is a stunning perennial (comes back each year without having to be replanted). It is a majestic flower that has an even more profound ability- despite conflicting soil conditions this flower is able to adapt and actually prefers impoverished earth to dig its roots into.

Often times, when walking through infertility it seems too hard to keep moving forward, and the "soil" seems too impoverished to have hope for tomorrow.
